Crypto structured products for Accredited Investors

A crypto structured product is a pre-packaged financial instrument that utilises derivatives to deliver customised solutions to investors holding Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other cryptocurrencies. Unlike spot trading, the payoff profile and risk parameters are defined up front.

• Latest income tax assessment

You hold BTC or an altcoin (e.g. ETH, SOL) and sell a call option against it, receiving a premium upfront. If the price stays below the agreed strike price at expiry, you keep the premium and your holdings. If it settles above the strike, your coins are sold at that price, and you keep the premium but forgo any upside above the strike. The premium is income; the trade-off is a cap on your gains.

An Accumulator lets you buy BTC or an altcoin (e.g. ETH, SOL) at a discount to the prevailing spot price over a fixed period, typically weekly instalments across a set term. If the price stays within range, you accumulate more coins than you would have buying outright at spot. If the price rises above a knock-out level, the contract ends early.

The inverse of an Accumulator. Instead of buying, you sell BTC or an altcoin (e.g. ETH, SOL) at a premium to spot over a scheduled period. It is useful for exiting a large position without market-moving block sales. A knock-out floor ends the contract early if the price drops below a pre-agreed level, leaving you holding the unsold balance. The premium to spot is the reward; early termination and opportunity cost if prices continue rising are the risks.

An FCN pays a fixed coupon on a stablecoin deposit over a set term. At maturity, if BTC or the chosen altcoin (e.g. ETH, SOL) has stayed above a knock-in level throughout, you receive your principal back in stablecoin plus all coupons. If it breaches the knock-in, your principal converts to that asset at the pre-agreed price, and you end the trade holding it rather than stablecoin. Suited to investors who are comfortable taking delivery at that level and want yield on capital that would otherwise be idle.
